The CIVVIH has four subcommittees, each organized to focus on a specific geographical area.
Mediterranean Subcommittee
The aim of the foundation of the sub-committee is the promotion of collaboration between the members of the CIVVIH that represent the countries of the Mediterranean, according to the aims of the International Committee of Historical Cities,CIVVIH-ICOMOS and in the framework of the principles of operation of Xi An (2005) for the International Scientific Committees ICOMOS, as well as according to the spirit of the Euromediteranean Collaboration (Appeal of Barcelona – 1995).
