CIVVIH ELECTIONS 2012/ELECTIONS DU CIVVIH 2012

Dear Colleagues, CIVVIH members

According the Statutes (articles19-24 and 40-44)
during the General Assembly in Naples September 5, 2012,
we have to proceed in the election of the new Executive of CIVVIH.

• According to the article 42 «Subject to article 29, any Expert Member may be elected to the Executive of CIVVIH»
• According to the article 31 «A person may serve on the Bureau of the Executive for no more than three consecutive terms in one office. At least one term should then elapse before that person may again be reelected to that office»
This means that the positions of Vice-Presidents and Secretary General of CIVVIH must be occupied by new people.

Dear colleagues

Please find attached the nomination forms, according to previous decisions of the Executive of CIVVIH.

The nomination forms must be submitted by the candidates no later than
July 28, 2012 by email
to the Secretary General of CIVVIH Michal Firestone at: michalfirestone@yahoo.com
and with communication to the President of CIVVIH Sofia Avgerinou Kolonias at skolonia@arch.ntua.gr

The voting expert members must elect the new Executive as follows:
1President (e)
3 Vice President (s)
5 Members of the Executive
1 Secretary General
1 Treasurer, (if necessary)
The Executive may co-opt up to three members in a manner that would strengthen regional representation.

The acting Executive will prepare the list of candidates which must be communicated by email
to the members of CIVVIH at least two weeks before the General Assembly
The acting Executive will nominate
an Electoral Committee to preside over the election process, during the General Assembly.

The Electoral Committee will consist of at least two members of CIVVIH who will not be candidates.
The El Com will approve the list of candidates,
preside over the election,
count the votes,
count the votes.,
announce the results of the election.

General Information about the electoral process.
The process of the election will be similar to the one in use in ICOMOS.
1. The candidates will specify which office they wish to run for.
2. The Expert Voting members of CIVVIH will elect one President, then 3 Vice Presidents, then one Secretary General, then one Treasurer if necessary and then 5 Executive Members.
3. Candidates who are not elected for a given office may run for the next office in line (i.e. if a candidate for the office of President, for example, is not elected, he/she will become a candidate for the office of Vice President).
4. Candidates may withdraw at any time during the electoral process.

Je voudrais vous faire connaitre que conformément au Statut (articles19-24 et 40-44)

nous devons procéder, lors de l’ Assemblée Générale à Naples le 5 Septembre 2012 ,

aux élections de notre nouveau Exécutif .

Il est a noter que suivant :

• L’ article 42 : « Sous réserve de l’article 29, tout membre expert peut être élu à l’Exécutif du CIVVIH »

• L’ article 31« Une personne peut être membre du Bureau pour une période n’excédant pas trois termes consécutifs. Il doit se passer au moins un terme avant que cette personne puisse être à nouveau élue à ce poste »
Cela signifie que que les postes de vice-présidents et de secrétaire générale devront être occupés par de nouvelles personnes

Je vous prie de trouver attachés les formulaires de mise en candidature,

rédigés suivant des décisions précédentes de l’ Exécutif du CIVVIH .

Les formulaires doivent être soumis au plus tard le 28 juillet 2012 par email

à la Secrétaire générale du CIVVIH Michal Firestone à l’adresse: michalfirestone@yahoo.com

et avec communication a la présidente du CIVVIH Sofia Avgerinou Kolonias a l’ adresse skolonia@arch.ntua.gr

Les membres experts votant doivent élire les membres du nouveau Exécutif comme a la suite :

1 Président(e)
3 Vice-président(e)s
5 Membres de l’ Exécutif
1 Secrétaire général(e)
1 Trésorier(e), si nécessaire

l’Exécutif peut coopter jusqu’à 3 membres de manière à s’assurer une bonne représentation régionale.

L Exécutif actuel préparera la liste des candidats

qui sera communiquée par email aux membres du CIVVIH au moins deux semaines avant l’Assemblée Générale

L Exécutif nommera pendant l’Assemblée Générale le Comité électoral qui présidera aux élections.

Le Comité électoral sera constitué d’au moins deux membres du CIVVIH qui ne seront pas candidats.

Il approuve la liste des candidats,

Il préside aux élections,

Il compte les votes,

et il annonce les résultats des élections.

Informations générales sur la procédure électorale.

La procédure électorale est similaire à celle utilisée par l’ICOMOS

1. Les candidats doivent spécifier à quel(s) poste(s) ils sont candidats.

2. Les membres experts votants du CIVVIH élisent un(e) président(e), puis 3 vice-président(e)s, puis un(e) secrétaire
général(e), puis 5 administrateurs, enfin un(e) trésorier(e), si nécessaire.

3. Les candidats qui ne sont pas élus à un poste deviennent automatiquement éligibles pour occuper le poste suivant,
s’ils le désirent (par exemple, les candidats défaits au poste de président peuvent se présenter pour occuper un des
postes de vice-président(e)s).

4. Un candidat peut se retirer à tout moment au cours de la procédure électorale.
